Are you trying to debug Android applications from the Windows machine or just trying to transfer files? If the latter it's a lot easier to just use the network. A USB connection is typically used to mount tablet storage or debugging, not so much for networking.

    Hi

Thanks for replying back. I don't have wifi or 3g at home, so as i'm a new to tablets, i simply just wanted to connect the tablet up my computer, to see how it worked, and download apps etc to it. I was wondering if that is possible to do? HOw do you use the network then?

    Thanks

How is your computer connected to the internet? Directly to a Cable/DSL/Fiber modem?

OK, so you really do need the USB driver to install and work... Most people really don't need it because they have easier ways to share. The support page says there might be a problem with the install on Windows 7 if you don't have the latest version of Microsoft's .NET framework. Could you bring up your Control Panle, launch Programs and Features, and then look at which versions of .NET are installed? You should have 3.5 and 4.5, I believe. I thought originally there might be a 32bit/64bit mismatch, but the Acer driver package comes with both.

I'm thinking you'll need to install .NET 4.5 pn your computer (it is probably one of the optional updates in Windows Update). Once that is installed the drivers should also be able to install. If 4.5 isn't waiting in Windows Update you can download it from the Microsoft site.

Hi I've tried to download .net framework 4.5 but its saying it already exists on my computer. Is there anyway it could be blocked or hidden because i definatly could not see it in the list.

    Many thanks

Did the driver install OK once .NET 4.5 was ready? If so, plug the tablet in and fire up Device Manager to see if the driver is working as it should. If there's an entry with problems take a look and see what it's giving as an error message.

Hi the driver aconia tab driver.ms1  installed fine . In my programs it clearly shows net.framework 4.5 2  has been installed.IN device manger it shows the 810 as unspecified, but in my computer it shows nothing?  Should the device show in my computer i'm sure it should.

    Many thanks

You might have to enable developer mode for it to act like an external drive to the Windows computer.
