Giving priority to a CD in startup boot menu.

I have a Veriton X4620G and am trying to set the startup to load from a cd if ever I should need use a rescue disk.

Upon startup I've pressed F12 and been given two options:

(1) Windows Boot Manager   (2) P3: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN

I see no mention of an option to change the startup to load from a cd.

Does this mean that I don't have that option, or should I be doing something else to enable it?

Thank you.

to change and save the boot priority list, you must enter BIOS, not the boot menu.

press DEL at boot and check the boot list, move DVD to the first place, then save and exit.

By the way, you can use the Boot menu and choose (2) P3: HL - DT - DVDRAM - GHAZN, this is your DVD/CD device.

    Thank you very much, Ace.

I did as you instructed and tested it out when I rebooted my computer just now with the recovery boot disk inserted.  It immediately detected it and worked perfectly. Smiley Happy
