Does the S7 support SDXC UHS-I Flash cards?

I'm thinking about purchasing this but would like to use an SD card for additional storage.

Would the S7 support SDXC UHS-I Flash Cards?  What about SDXC in general?

    Good day

Yes, you must just update the card reader driver if your SD card doesnt work.

Yes it does. I am able to use my san disk 64 gb microSDXC card with a adaptor: no issues.

Are you getting decent transfer speeds?  I'm considering purchasing the 128GB model S7 and want to supliment the disk with an 128 GB SDXC UHS-I flash card.  I'm worried that this may not perform well.

    Thanks for any input!!

The fastest SDXC cards are a little under 100MB/s maximum. That is significantly slower than the peak speed of the in-built SSD. I think it works out the SDXC would be around 80% slower! While it would certainly be fine to store a music collection, you certainly woudln't want to install applications on it or do video editing directly on the card for example. It really depends on what you plan to use the extra storage for. Although not as compact or neat, a USB 3 housed SSD will allow you to keep your speeds up while providing that additional storage.

Hate how much the SD card sticks out of the computer. Think a small USB flash drive will be better. Ofcourse they will be slower.

FYI , the SD card reader driver seems to indcate that the reader will operate as USB 2.0 device with theoratical limit of about 36M Bytes/sec throughput.
