yesterday, i used my tab. before i used it, it was 38%. i played a lot of games, surely that would decrease the battery. but after i used it, it was still 38%. then i charged it for an hour, and it was still 38%, but it says charging. now i tried to charge it while turned off overnight and then i turned it the next day (which is today) and its still 38%. after school, i used it again and it was still 38% given that i left it at home. i tried to do a factory reset both using in the settings and through recovery mode. but no good. please help me because my mom would scold me thanks!btw, my tab is just 3 weeks old

it looks like the battery sensor got stuck.

you already did the "standard" fix, so i can suggest you to try to let the tablet drain the battery completly, then recharge it without powering ON.

if the percentage doens't change, i suggest you to contact the Acer support service.

So I did that... went to sleep around 1 am just to get it drained, charged it while turned off overnight , and when i turned it on, still 38%. But when it was drained and connected to charger it booted up completely and showed 7% charging. But i turned it off, just what u have said. I'll be going in an acer store later to figure this out. Maybe my warranty would cover this up, adding that i'm not rooted. Thanks a bunch! ????

Update. I brought in on school so that I could observe it. It got drained an hour ago. I tried charging it while powered on and the battery is inconsistent. First it got 7% then suddenly jumped into 14 then increase suddenly to 55 then it will decrease by 54. After 5 minutes, it became 75 then lowered down to 74. I tried removing the charger and it became 42%. Now I am charging it and became 73 . Here is a screenshot of the battery stats..Screenshot_2015-01-07-13-26-36.png

Sounds to me like the sensor is either in the process of failing or it's got a loose connection. Contact Acer support and have them fix it.

But it could be covered with the warranty right? When I try to remove the charger and put it back on it says insufficient charger current. I use the charger given in the tablet box.

OK thanks! No problems going to the nearest service center here. Just a couple of walks from my location. God bless and more power!

I think my problem is now fixed. Smiley Happy Just a couple of weeks ago, I just woke up and my tab's battery was working as it should be. I think it was magically fixed. Smiley Very Happy

Sabbegh, did you resolve this?  If you are stuck at 1% then add your voice to a thread called "acer iconia one 7 won't charge".  On about the third email in that discussion there is an email referring to a fix that is being worked on for batteries getting stuck at less than 100% when recharging.  So that may be your problem.

Open up ur tablet back casing/cover and remove battery cable or wires and reinsert it and should/will workmost probably...
