AX3900 - Windows not seeing the graphics card.

Hi all,

I have an Aspire X3900 here. It has the default Nvidia GT320 graphics card installed. The computer works fine and using the graphics card produces an image on the screen.

However in device manager there are no "display adapters" listed. Using programs like Speccy and the like don't list any graphics cards as well.

The main problem is when I go to install graphics drivers (either off the Acer page or new ones from Nvidia themselves) it unpacks the installer but then pops up an error saying it can't see any matching hardware and then exits.

Any ideas?

Trying the same card in a different computer allows me to install the drivers fine and Speccy lists the card with correct specifications so I doubt the problem lies with the card itself.

    Problem solved.

A PCIE device setting had been disabled in Windows device manager. Enabling that and rebooting did the trick.
