ES1-512 space bar unresponsive

I have just purchased the Acer Aspire ES1-512 laptop from Tesco, the laptop will be used for college assignments so will involve a lot of typing. The keys are fine appart from the space bar which is pretty much hit and miss, press the centre of the space bar it works fine, but when pressing the edges or near to the bottom of the space bar and it only works some times and others it doesn't work at all. This means going back and having to put in the missing spaces on documents which is pretty time consuming.

Is this a fault with my laptop or do they all suffer from this problem, can I just return to Tesco or do I have to send to Acer, thanks.

I just wanted to add that the model they sold me was the one with 500GB drive and built in DVD player which I believe these modesl are not supposed to have, has anyone had to return one and get a replacment for faulty spacebar or is this a known issue with these models.

i think your can check the issue with Tesco first, since it's a brand new device, if Tesco doesn't want to change it, contact the Acer support service.
