Iconia not showing in ADB Devices list

When I run ADB devices on my Win 8.1 laptop, the list does not show my Iconia One 7 B1-730HD, even though it is connected by USB cable. I have enabled USB Debugging on the tablet and tried to update the driver, Windows always tells me I already have the latest version of the driver.

The Iconia One 7 B1-730HD shows up in Windows Device Manager as a Portable Device, which is not what I need.

Anybody advise me how to get ADB to recognise my tablet correctly so I can start install apps.

Thanks

Paul

Have you checked on windows device manager if you have any yellow exclamation mark when you connect your tablet?

    Hi

No there is no exclamation mark in Windows Device Manager - it just appears under Portable Devices as BI-730HD with a driver of MTP USB Device (which doesn't sound correct?). On connection the tablet displays USB debugging connected & Connected as a media Device

    Thanks

I had a similar issue when connecting a tablet to an USB 3.0 port instead of 2.0 port.

try also to switch momentary from MTP to PTP on Tablet settings, the options is under storage, then press the 3 dots on the top right of the screen.

after switching to PTP, connect it to your PC and check if android or ADB device is listed under device manager.

    Hi

Switching to PTP has caused ZTE Composite ADB Interface to appear in Device Manager but when I look at its properties it says no device attached - but the tablet is definitely attached as I can see it through Windows Explorer. adb devices also still not listing the tablet.

    I am using a USB 2 port.

    Thanks

And this is where they left this issue?

    Wow.

Friend, if you are still an ACER user, could you be so kind as to tell me how (if) this issue was ever solved?

Did you get to install apps on your Iconia?

    Thank you so much!
