Tablet repair issue

I purchased an Acer Iconia A3 on the 5th of September 2015. Tablet was returned to Acer on the 29th of September as parts of the screen become unresponsive. After 3 weeks in repairs the tablet was returned. But due to terrible workmen ship the screen cracked due to tension of the screen, only 3 weeks since the screen was replaced. The tablet has never been dropped and this can be seen by the condition of the tablet. As the screen was still working I kept using it as i am reliant on it for work. A couple of weeks ago the screen become unresponsive again on certain parts on the screen, Tablet was returned again to ACER and now Acer will not fix the tablet and claim I dropped and damaged the tablet. I will never buy another ACER product nor recommend them to anyone.

    Hi sonja1,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue and while I can't argue for or against the tension of the screen that was put it, I would suggest contacting the repair facility and addressing the issue with them.

    Thanks,
    Cory

    Hi Cory,

Thanks for your reply. However I would have hoped Acer would take responsibility for the repair facility bad workmanship and replaced the screen. Acer appointed this repair facility as a trusted site and they have let me down. I paid $198 for the unit 3 months ago and Acer want $248 to repair the screen which cracked on its own. I can buy a new tablet for the price of replacing the screen. It's Christmas and I doubt anyone has a spare $248 to fix a tablet.

If you paid with a credit card, contact your credit card company.

Also, contact the Better Business Bureau and file a claim with them. They are listed in the BBB as "Acer America Corporation". They are pretty active in publically addressing claims made on the BBB's website, and I see a few claims that are similar to yours. I think you'd have good results letting the BBB handle it.
