Hi,

I have the Aspire V5-53G and it seems to have an mSATA slot. So I'm seriously thinking of adding an msata ssd as a boot drive and have the hard drive that's connected in the regular SATA port as a data drive. However, I'm wondeing that if I add an mSATA will that disable the regular SATA port? If so then I have no use for the ssd.

no, the other sata port will work even with a msata drive inserted.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thanks, that's awesome. I'll be purchasing the SSD soon.

I just want to verify though, this IS an mSata slot right?
