DA220HQL won't start

Hi all,

Just purchased a reconditioned DA220HQL Android Monitor off of eBay.  I set everything up as directed, but the monitor will not power up.  I've tried several receptacles and another power supply ( I already had a new unit) and even though the light shows on the power supply, it still will not start, no lights show in the power button on the monitor  at all.  Does anyone know if there is a reset button or circuit breaker avaiable?  On the back of the monitor there is what looks like the picture of a small padlock with a small open rectangle next to it... is this perhaps a reset?  It's not shown in the User Manual.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Roy

    wipster,

I am sorry to hear that the DA220HQL is not working out of the box. If you are not getting any power to the All-In-One, then that would indicate a hardware issue. There is no "reset hole" for this device. You can try a power reset; press and hold the power button down for 20-30s while disconnected from the wall outlet, then reconnect the power adapter and attempt to power the device on. If still no power, it may require repair.

The opening with the padlock icon you are describing is a kensigton security slot that can be used with kensington locks to secure your device.

    Hey Ryan,

Thanks a bunch for your suggestion! I will give it a try and let you know the outcome.  I also appreciate the info on the Kensington Lock... makes perfect sense, had just not heard of it before.

If I don't reply before, please enjoy whichever holiday you celebrate, and if you don't celebrate any, you can at least be happy for the time off or the overtime!

Well I tried your suggestion, several times in fact, but all to no avail... I cannot get the unit to start, the blue button never lights up.  Thanks for your suggestion though Ryan.  I was able to work out a solution with the seller to get almost all of my money back, yet still keep the unit.  I figured the wireless mouse and keyboard was worth that

Another question however.  While the CPU does not start, can the unit still be used as a monitor only in it's current condition?  I have a use for it if that could be done.

Thanks and have a Merry Chrismas and happy celebration of Bacchus!
