Hi I am Penelope, I have an Acer Aspire V3-571G, I am having so much trouble with it. The cursor has a mind of its own and moves around the screen selecting all sorts of actions without my action. This is so frustrating. Has anyone had this problem and if so how do I fix it? (it has taken me three tries to type this, because this problem)

Hello Penelope.  I read your question regarding the erratic behavior of the cursor on the screen of your Acer Aspire V3-571G laptop device.  I know this can be frustrating issue as I have dealt with it in the past myself.  Luckily, I am pretty confident this problem is easily resolved.

Your description of the problem leads me to believe that the issue is not related to any sort of failure in the hardware or software.  Rather, I believe that you simply need to adjust the settings on your TrackPad.  It sounds as though the touch sensitivity settings need to be decreased.  Doing so will make your TrackPad less sensitive to accidental touch when using your keyboard.

I would recommend searching your Windows Control Panel to locate the TrackPad/Mouse settings and follow the appropriate instructions contained therein.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

Thanks Bob, I have tried your suggestion with no result. I have got a wireless mouse which I have connected to see if this will make a diffrence; not so. I am wondering if I can disconect or disable the mouse pad on the device? I need some instructio to do this as I am not too savvy. Then I will need to re-activat when I take the lap top away & need to use the pad. Thanks again for your help, Cheers Penelope
