Bought Acer E5-572G NX.MQ0EL.005.

It has 4 gb RAM(Samsung 12800 1600mhz) then bought one stick - Crucial 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 CL11 SO-DIMM CT51264BF160BJ.

Place it into second free slot.

Result - BIOS shows only 4 GB RAM and Windows shows same 4 GB RAM(something aroung 3.8 GB)

Tried to replace second ram stick but same result.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Tried to run laptop with only Crucial stick worked - in BIOS 4 GB

Then tried to place again both sticks noticed that stick in second slot wasn't properly placed(pins were visible), place it with more force so that pins weren't visible and now it works.

Both in BIOS and in Windows - 8 GB RAM.

    Thanks, IronFly.

Incompatible ram if BIOS can't find it, maybe voltage?

    if i remember, E5 need 1.35v ram.

Crucial stick also has 1.35 voltage - Memory Voltage    1.35 V

Have you tried to boot with only the Crucial ram stick?

if BIOS can't recognise, the ram is not compatible.

  • Hello ambival,

I found another original memory stick for your laptop:

    KN.4GB07.015 - MEM 4GB DDR3L 1600 SO-DIMM (KINGSTON)
