same problem as what I encountered for my laptop Aspire V5 Touch since day 1, already serviced for 3x, with the wireless adapter replaced, yet still facing the same problem.  Sigh!!! really disappointed with the support from ACER.

Here also, I have an Acer Aspire V3-551 with the Atheros ARBWB222..... was slow and connection was spotty when I first got it.  Did a system restore to factory, fresh windows 7 install etc.... then proceeded to blame the router which is not the case and any other wireless device is happy as a lark.  The amount of errors I was getting on the machine and the machine crashes verses the amount of errors on my router logs are rediculous!  access denied, incorrect security not to mention every five minutes its refreshing its ip address???  What gives ?  I have tried everything I could find out there on tech forums since I got this machine in November, everything I could think of, every setting every driver.... nothing worked except a bios update that let windows show me I had more connections like bluetooth etc which, with advice I turned off.  Had no poblems except pauses in internet response again from this machine only, then the error logs in ther router with limited connectivity started again....  I guess the only option is to complain about it and get a wireless usb adapter?
