Usually the operating system will be able to pull updates for the hardware when it's available (optional), my desktop always does at least. Are you trying to update to a beta version of the software from NVidia? Why are you trying to update the hardware, is it prompting you to do so?

I was trying to view some 3d videos on the youtube channel but when setting the 3d to html5 I was getting an error saying that my card has an outdated driver and to update my card's driver, on the nvidia site there is an update for this type of card but wont install.

If you are running Windows 7 should have already downloaded it as an optional download. I would suggest going to this link, http://www.geforce.com/drivers and choose the Auto-Detect your GPU option; it is going to require Java to run some stuff to check. That should tell you exactly what needs to be downloaded for it and run without any problems. If you would like, download the driver first and run it as administrator to make sure there aren't any problems.

I tried that last night, the autodetect program worked, found the graphic card GT435M, I downloaded the driver and then when i tried to install the driver the same message came up with the big red X 'nvidia installer cannot continue. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.'

Just another idea, I found on the net that in order to update nvidia oem graphic cards I have to modify the inf file in the driver folder before installing it to accept my card apparently it should work, I wonder if anybody here tried that.

'This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.' - Yo try install drivers not compatible with your hardware, maybe you download wrong drivers? its looke like for me.

That's what I thought initially, but once the nvidia site detects the right card and offers you to download the proper driver it should work, unfortunately reading different posts on other sites it looks like acer created a driver that is specific to this card and pc and it is not possible to update the driver unless acer issues an update, I'm not really happy about this if this is the case.

    Good day felix

Are downloading 32 or 64Bit. Make sure you download the correct OS and Bit driver as well. Do you have the latest bios update for your machine as well?

    Regards,

    Freeza

I tried that to, no go, windows telling me that "the driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows" I even updated the bios but I'm getting the same error so no automatic and no manual update is working. I'm kinda out of ideas.

Download one for your Windows, it should work. If not, Format windows and install new system.

I have the same drivers and it's not working for me, so I decided to reinstall windows this weekend and after applying all the updates I tried again. Guess what? Same result no change, so I'm back to square one I don't think I have a faulty card as it is working except that a few programs (games) or web 3d applications require an updated driver and I can't do the update for this card.

Try software from this page http://www.driver-soft.com/

Its trial one and you can only check drivers for your hardware, if you will be want full version probably you know what to doSmiley Tongue

Also you can check what graphic card you really have with Everest or AIDA(32 or 64) depends from your system version. In this software they tell you also from where you can download proper drivers.

Try to help, but its hard when you dont see it:/

    Hello again.

You dont will be able to install drivers from NVIDIA web page, because Acer have dedicated drivers for this product. I bought new Desktop pc and i have same problem, can install only drivers from ACER web page.

Or maybe you resolve this problem?
