Hi, My Acer Iconia W3-810 comes with a Recovery DVD. When I try to reinstall Window 8 on tablet PC by using Acer recovery media, it could not complete installation. The updating system of restore process completed about 33% before jump to 100% and DVD was ejected from the drive. There is no place to ask Product Key or other information. Windows can be started with very limited features after installation. There was no wireless devices. Does anyone know similiar problem and way to fix. Thanks.

Well I am not sure the recovery CD has all of the special Intel drivers. Once you can boot it may be necessary to run the driver package from support.acer.com for your table to restore the additional drivers.

I had issues with my recovery dvd, so I went to the actual 32bit Windows 8 dvd. Installed without issues.

My disc showed all files/folders but my Acer could not recognize it at boot.

    padgett,

You are right. I got most of functions of tablet after run the driver package from support.acer.com except an error massage about AlaunchX.exe at start.

    Thank you much.

i deleted the recovery partitions, thinking it was a single disk to gain space

now i have 2 empty partitions, i tried to install windows again from the recovery cd

it asked me if i wanted to refresh everything including the recovery partitions

but an error wont let it hapen, i tried to format the partitions as ntfs

but the recovery cd still not fixing my recovery partitions

i would like to have them like before so i can refresh everything without the cd

and possibly it will allow me to upgrade to 8.1

    i have an iconia w3-810

i do have a self powered usb hub and dvd reader

    do you have any ideas?

I'm a little confused the W3-810 like mine has a 32GB SDD, no recovery partition, and came with a DVD. The 64GB version had a recovery partition and no DVD. Which do you have please ?
