Hello Every one, new here.

I have my  B1-710 for over a Year now , and I am getting more and more apps that I can not install due to my old version android 4.1.

I have found a page mentionning

" This article only applies to: Acer A100, Acer A200, Acer A210, Acer A500, Acer A501, Acer A510, Acer 700, Acer A1-810, Acer B1-710, Gateway G1-715

SYMPTOMS

Updates to the Android operating system are now provided directly from Google instead of coming from Acer. If you attempt to check for software updates on our older tablets, you may get the message "Update service temporarily unavailable" "

But no link to newer version
So the question is How can I upgrade my B1-710 to a version 4.4 or 5  ?
Thank you for anyone who will guide me in the right direction

Pierre

    PAPY1950,

I am sorry I didn't understand your question as I thought you were asking if you would be able to get the Kitkat or Android 5.0.

That particular article is more meant to allow customers to have the option to load the different versions of the available android versions for their model and if they missed an update to the newer version. If you check those models on the Drivers and Manuals page, you will find that we have provided the full image for each version that was made available to that unit.

With that said, not all tablets will have the same Android versions available to them or they may not receive any more scheduled release dates for any other Android versions for this tablet.

    PAPY1950,

I am showing that the B1-710's current supported OS is 4.1.2. I am not showing any scheduled release dates for any other Android versions for this tablet. If one is released, you will receive a notification.

Well Thanks, AcerTechnicians, But me question was more to tyr to understand this article taken on ACER web site

    " This article only applies to: Acer A100, Acer A200, Acer A210, Acer A500, Acer A501, Acer A510, Acer 700, Acer A1-810, Acer B1-710, Gateway G1-715

    SYMPTOMS

Updates to the Android operating system are now provided directly from Google instead of coming from Acer."

Could it be the reason wou are not seeing any scheduled release dates for any other Android versions for this tablet ???

IF ... you are sayin the opposite.... What exactly is true ?

And why Acer would take time to write such a notice ?
I've alwaya had great service from acer from my 2 other laptop and my B1 Tablet, I find funy that now there seems to be glitch between the 2 places I usually glance my informations Smiley Wink

@Acer-Ryan - is there anyway on the Acer site that indicates which models will no longer be able to update the android system? Frustrated that I have owned my B1-710 less than 1 year and it now is out of date.
