Other andoird users can solve this by doing actions like described here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3/833067-vibrate-phone-pick-up-off.html

But it seems that in our acer software this option isn't there. Am i overseeing something? Is there some walk-around or 3th party app that can do the same? Please help, because people tell me they hear this funny vibration sound when picking up. It sounds like a clown and is not professional.

A second question: is there an option to increase the sound of my voice to the other person on the line? People tell me it's very quied when i am talking and i am defenitely not a quite talker.

I am using the Acer Liquid a700

For the rest - awesome device!

Look forward for the answers!

    Peterj,

You can disable the vibrate feature using the following instructions:

    1. Open your Apps drawer.
    2. Tap on Settings icon.
    3. Under Device, tap Sound.
    4. Tap Vibrate to remove the check mark. This will disable vibrate for incoming calls.

Unfortunately your answer isn't correct. It's still giving a vibration when the other person picks up and they say it sounds like a duck. Other ideas?

    Peterj,

Did the steps I provide leave to an option to disable vibrate? That is the only vibrate option I could find. If you have disabled that option then it should not vibrate on incoming calls. If you have further questions or concerns about your device, maybe your retailer or provider can provide additional assistance.

The problem is not with incoming calls, but outgoing calls. When the person at the other end picks up, the Acer vibrates. I actually found this a good feature as you don't need to leave the phone next to your ear, only putting it there when it vibrates and you know someone has picked up.

Yes indeed Will is correct, that is the thing. For me it looked like a nice feature too, but ask the people on the other line, they all say it sounds like a duck or a clown. They think you make a joke or something, not quite professional.

The vibration setting that is just for putting of vibration when ringing, vibration when picking up is something else, where i cannot find a setting for. They call it Smart Alert, and on other androids you can put Smart Alert off/on.

Is there maybe an app someone knows about to shut this off?

i never see an option to set off the vibration on outgoing call answers on Acer devices.

i had some Acer phones and no one told me about that "duck sound", even my father that uses E700 as main phone and calls me everyday.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
