My Acer Iconia A1 830 does not connect to my wifi router. I've tried everything (resest etc), all my other devices connect without a problem, but the Acer tablet keeps trying to connect, and then comes with the message 'avoided poor internet connection' What can I do?

Thanx for your reply; your suggestion regarding a reserved IP address on the router was the solution. I have a Linksys WRT 300N - the problem with Android devices is known with this WIFI-router. In the setup of the Router I gave a static IP address to the Acer and the connection was established within 30 seconds.

    So the problem is solved!

Yes, there is a setting in wifi "advanced settings" missing that allowed switching off the "avoid poor connections" policy. Have you tried "WiFi Fixer" or similar apps on Google Play? Or try setting your tablet to a fixed IP address. (Long press on your desired network in WiFi settings until a menu appears, click "modify network, click "show advanced options" and change from DHCP to STATIC then save this setting.) If this doesn't work, it may be you need to change your home router configuration.
