mines fine. You may want to check your connection. Or Sign out and sign back in. Or even remove and reinstall the app. This is not an Acer/W510 issue by any means

OK, tried install and reinstall of the app but still it does not show eyes or mouth. Connection is working well (3+ bars on wifi str and browsing is fast). not sure if it is a resolution issue or not but all avatars look fine through IE. is there a way to adjust screen resolution? i also updated all drivers from acer web driver download.

send a screen capture tomsee in detail what your seeing. As for the resolution thats not the issue. Have you tried the actual Acer drivers from the support part of the website and not just used the win 8 updates?

I can see it from my desktop in IE 10 with no issues. It only occurs when viewing my avatar and friends avatar through the games app. I will post screen capture later tonight.

Thanks for helping me out. Also, I did a full system restore using the Acer recover DVD's and the issue is still there. I have tried drivers from both Intel and Acer with the same results.

Would you update Xbox game app to new version 1.1.134.0 via store updating ?

Win8 xbox live games app will display no colored avatar for which friends offline exceeds a certain time.

Fixed it. I was messing with the display settings trying to get the HDMI port to work and now everything is working right. I adjusted the resolution through the Intel display control panel from the task bar and it all works now (except the hdmi port still isn't working).
