Hi all,

I use my Acer Aspire V573PG as my primary computer. I use it constantly and I know it's not good for the laptop to be charged and discharged so many times continuously. I want to remove the battery and just use AC when I'm at home but I do not see any buttons or switches to release the battery. The entire bottom is one big piece and I think I would have to remove it entirely to take the battery out. I want to come ask for some advice and opinions on how best to do this before I execute it, in case I do something wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

Battery in this computer is 53 Wh 3560 mAh 15 V 4-cell Li-polymer battery pack, which is not an end user removable one. It has a reset hole, which is located under the computer to reset the battery. In order to remove the battery, the base cover needs to be removed first. Remove seventeen (17) screws from the base cover. Then pull up the base cover starting from rear of the system at the LCD hinges. Then remove the base cover from the system. Disconnect the battery cable from the mainboard connector.  Remove one (1) screw securing the battery pack in place. Lift the battery pack from the system.
