I also got this error when I plugged in a USB with windows 8.1. I Think it is something to do with the format of the USB. I already used UEIF but still didn't work. I'll try to experiment more on this and let you know what I find. I also noticed that my USB cannot be detected in the Bios settings. I have no problem when I use the revovery USB.

Haven't looked for a while but recall the USB must be formatted FAT-32 and it must be partitioned with GPT to comply with the UEFI standard and be recognized as bootable. I used a 16 GB flash drive.

OK thank's it working. but i have a new problem here. in recovery wizard there's 2 option restore the operating system to factory default and completely restore computer to factory default.

here's the problem, when i choose option 1 it says "bitlocker is still enabled.bitLocker should disabled for ALL encrypted partition" how can i turn off the bitLocker.?

when i choose the option 2 it says "please remove all files from your hard drive before starting. this function will not work if there are any files on the hard drive"

and the recovery can't continue, what should i do..? my iconia was unable to log on to windows anymore

Unfortunately BitLocker is doing exactly what it is supposed to: protect files from disclosure. Unless you can boot with something that contains Bitlocker capability (like Windows To Go), the only alternative may be to reformat the drive and do a clean install.

If you can boot then Bitlocker is a subsection in Control Panel.

Did the same thing with the USB and used rufus to create one. But it still cannot be detected when I reboot my W4. I'm trying all possible combination with no luck. I'm using a 8GB USB3 drive.
