Which service do you have, if it is Bell use all capital letters when putting in your wap #, also you can right click on the Network icon on the right side of your taskbar than click on trouble shooting maybe windows can fix it! Hope this helps a bit!

I've registered on this forum just to answer this questioin, as I got so frustrated when my new computer wouldn't connect to wifi in my bedroom, even though my other devices could.

The wireless card in this computer is terrible and cannot connect to wifi unless you are right beside the router.  You can test this by setting up your PC beside your router; it should connect fine.

I bought a Netgear N600 Dual Band USB Adapter from PC world for £20.  This plugs into the USB slot of your PC.  Your PC uses the adapter, instead of the wireless card, to connect to the wifi.

You could probably buy this much cheaper online but I didn't want to wait for delivery.  Also, the guy in PC World tried to talk me in to buying a £60 wifi signal booster; he was quite convincing too, so beware if you are not tech saavy.

Internet worked strait away @ 17.75M.

    Hope this helps
