Hello,

My Liquid E2 fell on the ground and now my glass is broken.

I bought myself a new touch screen on Ebay but I cannot find any repair instruction on the internet.

Can anyone help me, many thanks in advance.

I do have experience with repairing phones but a manual would be great.

Kind regards,

MP

Service manuals are not available to public, sometimes google is your friend but not in this case.

you need to try by yourself or ask to a tech to do it.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

    Dear IronFly,

I repaired it myself, it wasn't that hard.

    All working again.

    Thanks,

    Hello Belar43

Here is how I have done it. I took some pictures. It's all I got.

    Open battery cover,

    remove the 8 screws.

Remove the backcover from the front.

    IMAG0256.jpgRemove 5 connectors from mainboard.

After removing the board you can remove the screen (while heating up the touchscreen a bit) an place the new screen. The connector from the touchscreen goes true the a opening to the mainboard).

Any more detailed tips on how to seperate the lcd screen and the glass/digitizer.

Its gonna be my first time.  A more detailed description of that would be of great help..

The wires etc, I can figure out..

Also, this is Russian but seems to show the process well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esv_F1YsPIQ&feature=youtu.be

They seem to disassemble something at the back, which seems contrary to what the pictures in the French thread show who seem to suggest you can get it off without doing that. And the guy that did it in this thread also disaseembles something on the back.

    Hello Guys,

After removing the battery cover you have to remove the eight screws.

Then separate the the back cover from the front. Disconnect the connector on the top-left which is from the touch screen.

I don't have the Acer anymorebut as I remember you don't really need to remove the main board, but you have better access.

With a hair dryer careful heat up the touch screen (in order to solve the glue) and peel it off from the housing (underneath there is the display). Now you can careful guide the connector true the housing and removing it completely.

Now first guide the connector of the new touch screen to the main board and then place the new touch screen.

    Good Luck

Well the actual replacing of the screen was moderately simple - however the screen replacement is either duff or I broke something when I replaced it as the screen just has lines down it. Never mind, probably time to move on anyway.

I replaced mine as well (Took me sometime before I got to it) based on your input an it works very well.

    So thanks for the help..
