Iconia A1-830 cannot see my 802.11n network

I have other devices connected to 802.11n so I know that the network is there, advertising and working. My A1-830, however, simply cannot see it and there doesn't seem to be any way to force it to do so. Is there some magic incantation I need to perform? It is quite happy to connect to the 802.11g network which my hub (BT Home Hub) also supports. And yes, the hub has 2 radios, one at 2.4GHz, the other at 5GHz.

I bought the same tablet last week and found the same problem. It was working fine initially but within 24 hrs it was detecting the wifi signal poorly and completely go away if I walk from the router few feet. At the same time other devices show good wifi signals. I contacted the acer support but they wanted me to send it to them at my expense for repairs. Instead I have decided to return the item where I bought it. After reading the reviews in the internet I found several people are having the same problems with wifi reception and battery drain. I think there is a firmware interfering with the wifi and batteries. If possible return the product or call Acer support and send it for repair. I think until they fix this problems stay away from this product.
