Acer 5741g screen problem

I have an Acer 5741g. I booted it up a few days ago and discovered the screen was not displaying properly. I could see part of what should be displayed but the rest looked as if someone had wiped a wet rag over a painting.

Can anyone advise what  the problem is and how it can be fixed please?

Thanks

Make an image or a video. If it is as you have described than your display or your GPU-memory is defective. You will have to contact a repair company in that case.

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't think it is the memory, the reason being that I've connected an eternal monitor to the Acer and it displays successfully.

    Any more thoughts please?

if the vga external output displays there are some possibilities.

1st your fn + F5 or fn + F6 key that you have to hit

2nd the cable connector inside the maschine

    3d your lcd monitor.

    4th drivers or bios update

    Cheers
