R7-572 reached end of life already?

I noticed a few weeks ago Best Buy no longer had the R7 on display and their website has it removed.
I have a coworker that wanted the R7 and had to rely on a refurb off of Amazon.

Anybody know the deal? It didn't seem to have a long life, having been released in Nov 2013.

I noticed that as well and it took me bit longer to locate a R7-572. I eventually had to settle on the version not sold in Best Buy stores which is the 6805.

I mentioned this in my review on Amazon. When the device first came out (exclusively on Best buy stores here in the U.S.A) last year, the reps there (along with the media) didn't like the idea of the touchpad being above the keyboard and thus were actually swaying customers to get other models instead. Personally I love the design, having the touchpad out fo the way.

That I know of, the device is selling well overseas. But here in the states, its not in Besst Buy stores, nor even on Acers own website. There are a few models on ebay and Amazon. I had to settle for a refurbished 6805 which is the non best buy version 6423 but with a different wlan.

I do hope that Acer continues the model and not listen to the media which can't get over the touchpads placment.

And hopefully they don't restrict it to selling only through Best Buy and instead sell it through more resellers.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Although I wish my R7 was slightly smaller and lighter, neither of those fully replaces the R7.  I mean, the keyboard is still in the back!
