Acer E380 "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped"

... and it does.

 

All the image folders from the apps like "Camera", "FxCamera" etc are still accessible to click on once you click the main "Gallery" icon... but once you click on an image the error message: "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" appears - and it stops working.

 

Factory reset does not work.

 

Any clues anyone?

    Hi. Seaeched around for ages and came up with a solution that worked for the gallery problem...

     

    In essence what you do is:
    1. Remove all your pictures from your phone to your PC, external drive, storage etc
    2. Go to settings> Applications> Manage Applications> Make sure “All” is selected above > scroll to Gallery> Press on it and hit “Clear Data”.
    3. Back out of settings.
    4. Turn your phone off.

    5. Turn your pone on.

    Why did this work? There are probably several reasons, but one of them is that in amongst the other image apps I use, there may have been a Corrupted File which caused the issue – or I downloaded an image/video to my phone, (from Facebook/Social Media or browser), and that was corrupted.

     

    In any event - the problem is solved..... but appears to have created another AUDIO problem in the process which I'll make another post about.
