So, I'm looking to buy an Acer Aspire E 15.6" Laptop with Gigabit Ethernet. But, the Future Shop website says it has "Ethernet Port: 10/100/1000".. Is this the same thing or..? Thanks! -from Canada!

1000 Megabit per second (to be honest it must be 1024 Mbps) = 1 Gigabit per second

    it's the same. Smiley Happy

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Is it also in-store? You could try calling the local Future Shop and ask.

I believe that means you have the ethernet port & it can run at 10, 100 or 1000 MB/sec. I'm no PC expert but My PC is connected to the web by the Ethernet port & it runs at 100 MB/sec. (that's the max. , it has never had enough running at the same time to hit the max.)
