S240HL monitor

I just bought a new PC with win 8.1 installed pre-installed and updated as required.
Now my Acer S240HL monitor works on basic settings, I tried to install your Acer monitor mangement prog from your disk. However the disk gives an error message saying "I should have Win 7 or later installed to continue"!
That is a very strange error considering I had originally installed it on Vista with good success and now win 8.1 Registered copy.
I have scoured your site and can only find ads for win 8.1 installation! But NO 8.1 DRIVERS!!
Could you please advise where I can find the drivers and software to make your product work as it should do.

By "basic settings" you mean low resolution screen?

How do you connect the monitor?

    VGA-DVI-HDMI?

Which Graphic card brand and model is installed on your pc?

    VGA.

I wanted to use the management software but it says I need win 7 or later when trying to install from Acer disk. I am using win 8.1 fully updated.

the actual screen resolution does not appear as sharp as when I was using my old PC, (vista), ( res 1980 x 1080).

Processor : AMD A8-6600K APU with RADEON HD Graphics 3.90 Ghz, AMD's new onboard graphics controller.

    Mother Board : ASUS A55BM-K

Sys Type   : 64 bit Operating Sys x64 based processor

I would use DVI (better image quality, since it's 100% digital).

did you set the resolution to : 1920x1080 60Hz?

You don't need the management software from Acer, just check that you fully updated AMD drivers.
