Iconia W5 stuck in repair loop

I borrowed my tablet to a family member for a couple of weeks.

Now it boots into Automatic Repair mode and the options for refreshing and reinstalling Windows 8 give back an error.

I've tried using a disk drive and usb to reinstall windows, however neither one shows up in boot select (I disabled safe boot as well)

When using cmd option in repair mode, I can see the volumes for my disk drive and usb.

Im really stuck on options and dont want to abandon the little guy.

Boy, there are a lot of directions to go from here... What error do you get from attempts to refresh or restore Windows? I'm thinking the first path to take is to try and get yourself into a state where a refresh will work again.

I was able to find a solution burried around in the web.

The main problem I was having, was my system unable to recognize my bootable usb drive. Using Rufus, I followed the settings posted on the link below to allow the Acer to use it.

You are likely going to have to restore from the discs. Smiley Sad

If you no longer have them or have a model where they didn't include them, you can buy them from the Acer store.
