I have a Acer Extensa 5220 notebook and Windows vista. How can I undo the partition between C: and D

Hi Dears,

My notebook is very slow and the C: is nearly full. The D: is nearly empty. Is it possible to change it and make 1 big C: ?

Afterwards I should have space enough to install windows 7 instead of windows vista.

Please let me know how I should do.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best greetings

Anne Marie

    Hello anne marie,

You wrote "the C: is nearly full. The D: is nearly empty". It's because you save or download only in "C:\My documents" as many members. That's an error.

You forget you have an other partition D:\Acer data. I advise you to keep two partitions and transfert yours personnal folders (create by you) contained on this one to D. In this case, you'll have the possiblity to recover your system without issue.

(The Acer recovery erase all files contained in C:\.

For example on my desktop, C is nearly empty and D is half full/empty.
