Hi All,

I Recently purchased a new Acer Iconia W5 and it came with windows 8 installed. I then updated to windows 8.1 through Store and i regret it. My windows tablet has slow down and battery drained quickly. Even the image colour has change, like crashed.

So, i would like to revert to windows 8.

I have recoevry DVDs but the tablet has no DVD drive.

I have windows 8 product key but i understand it cannot be use/ OEM

Please help.

Thanks

Gavin

So your model got a recovery DVD instead of a recovery partition on the hdd?
Then you'll probably need a USB DVD drive to boot from, or you could probably transfer your recovery DVD to a USB stick?

You should use a USB DVD drive with either external power or connected to a USB hub that has external power.
