Why i can't access Acer Support: My SSID or S/N is not validated

hi,

 

I recently purchase a Acer Iconia W5 and i need help from Acer.

But the S/N or SSID is not being validated on support page.

 

Please help

    I had the same issue with my Switch 10, and it turned out I was using the S/N on the keybord dock insted of the S/N on the tab.

    However both s/n or ssid are the same on tablet and keyboard.

    This happens most often when you are logged into the wrong support page for your number. For instance being logged into the USA/Canada support site for a UK device...

    ok, i now understand.

     

    infact i'm from Mauritius Island, do you have any idea in which country shpuld register it.

    there is no Mauritius in the list

    I had the same problem when I first tried to check mine. I was using this page since it was the first google result for "acer warranty check"...

    I was going to say to try Acers African site, but they don't seem to have a warranty check page there...

    Looks like they Mauritius in the list when you go to Acer Advantage to purchase an extended warranty but not on the list for support. I think I'd try either Europe Other Countries or United Kingdom and see if one of those work since they don't have a British Commonwealth selection.

    If you could private message me the 22 digit Serial Number, I'll do a little research and determine which region supports your Acer product. I suspect it is South Africa, but what do I know, I just leanred where Mauritius is today. Smiley Happy

    Heck, Mauritius is famous! Some of the most valuable stamps ever issued were from Mauritius. (1849 one and two penny 'Post Office')

    Sorry for this newbie question; why would one need to access acer support via SSID or S/N ?

     

    I recently bought switch 10 myself and I'm wondering if i should do the same?

    Hi Wolfhound,

     

    I can only speak for the US and Canada region (where I'm located), but for warranty technical support via phone or chat, we do validate your warranty by requesting your Serial Number (22 character alphanumeric) or SNID (11 digit numeric). This allows our warranty support teams to provide timely service.

     

    On the Switch 10, there is a small barcode between the docking port and the right guide that has your Serial Number.
