Aspire V5-573G making a slight, constant rattling noise

Hey there guys and gals,

I just received my brand new Aspire V5-573G yesterday, and it's just simply great. There's just one little thing that bothers me though, which is the noise that the fan on the right side makes. It's a near constant slight rattle or purr whenever the fans start blowing a little bit, and many people have reported this problem too, by the looks of it.

That makes me wonder; would it be worth the effort to try and get it repaired or replaced, or is this a problem that nearly EVERY V5-573G has?

Cheers,

CP

If it were mine, brand new with a 1-yr warranty, no, not yet anyway. Test drive it for a few weeks. You might find other problems --- or maybe not --- or maybe its rattle and purr will get worse, better or remain the same.

    Thank you for the reply!

I noticed my screen has some pretty bad backlight bleeding all over, except in the bottom right corner. The rattling is okay, but the backlight bleeding drives me mad. What has been seen, cannot be unseen Smiley Sad I'll try and get a replacement.

    Thanks again!

Bleeding is often due to a misaligned screen bezel, or plastic bezel clips not engaged to the lid, or uneven/loose/overtight screws holding the bezel or screen to the lid. I'd first try gently pressing the periphery of the bezel with thumb & forefinger, esp around the bleed areas, to see if the bezel clips might not be fully engaged. It might be that simple.
