Dear Users!

I'm still new here, but I dindn't find any comments redagarding to SD card use after upgrade the tab to Kit Kat.

I would also update my one, but for me is essential to access SD card by applications. I've seen some apps, what can fix this "feature" of new Android version, but all of then requires root acces. My device is still not rooted. How we can use our SD cards after update from Jelly Bean to Kit Kat? Do You know any solution?

Thanks for answers in advance!

if you mean "move to SD" applications, nothing has changed from JB to KK, as far as i know.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

No, I mean the warning text appears before You install then new version. It says, that only pre-installed apps will be able to write to SD card. This is different as "moove to SD". I guess, if I have e.g. a GPS app, what logs my rides, it will not able to wirte to SD card, just only to limited internal storage.

    Hello Max-BP

If it's not too late, I do not recommend an upgrade from jb to kitkat, from my point of view. I did it a month ago and I'm not happy with kk. Since the tablet isn't faster, no improvements (like a working knob for brightness) or very important featurers I have missed. But things are worse: I can't store my music I downloaded from google play on the sd-card. So you can guess, that the internal storage is far too small. I prefered an android device just because it was easy to use external storage compared to apple. But kitkat disabled this very important feature. I do like a tablet to work and read and listen music, not to fiddle around with the system. So I'm disappointed about the software, not the hardware. From my point of view Acer should stand more on the side of the consumers and post some simple ways to use their tablets as WE want.
