Acer W3-810 blue screens when booting

Hello,

I bought an Acer W3-810 and about 5 minutes of use and now it's blue screening when I try to turn the tablet on. It displays the Acer logo and then blue screens. I tried changing the boot option to boot to CD and load Windows 8.1 on it, but it won't even load the DVD without blue screening. It gives me the option to press any key to boot to DVD, but then waits for about 30 seconds and blue screens.

Does anyone have any thoughts or have you ran into this?

    Hi,

I had the same problem. Acer asked me to send it in AS the customer service agent couldn't help me.

The computer was only two weeks old. They checked it and told me to pay for labour, as there was nothing that they could find wrong with it!! So it's good to see that this is happening to others as well so now Acer can look into this problem. Hope you get it sorted out.

They said they ran it for two hours and nothing was wrong so I have to pay to get it back! I refuse to pay and they are not returning my calls or emails. So I think a lawyer is needed. Good luck with yours Smiley Sad

I don't think my issue is the same thing you are having though. It sounds like if you sent it in an it's working now, that it might have been something you had installed or plugged into the device. Mine was blue screening right out of the box. I didn't install any software on it or plug in any USB devices.

Can you write down the info the blue screen shows? It might help with diagnostics. It sounds like a ob for warranty support though, since it's so prevalent.
