Don't have mine with me but the 700P has a utility that allows you to make a restore on usb, maybe dvd, don't recall.  Look around in your programs for recovery, restore, or something like that and see if you don't find it.  You might look in control panel as well.

Acer probably would sell you dvds as well if you call them.

You can order the recovery DVDs/USB stick from the Acer store.

Unless you really need the factory Windows 8.0, I would recommend to apply the vanilla 8.1 Update 1 WIMboot image. Search the mydigitallife forum for that.

If your W700 comes with Windows 8 Single Language, you need the 8.1 Single Language ISO/WIM image. Regular Core/Pro image wont work with the embedded product key.

Well I dont really need the factory windows 8,0.

Checked Mydigitallife, and it was fairly complicated.

I wanted the recovery discs just bcause its easy.

Is there a easier way to get a bootable windows 8 install cd that can be used on my w700, without needing a pirate Cd key or so?

It depends on which SKU of Windows your W700 has.

If your W700 has Windows 8 Core or Pro, then you can easily get the official ISO and install it on your W700 like you do on a normal laptop. The process would be very straightforward.

If your W700 has Windows 8 Single Language, like mine, the ISO image is not available officially, so you have to get it from other sources. Mydigitallife forum is a good source for Windows 8 ISO images (you dont have to apply WIMBoot). Afterwards, you can just install Windows 8.1 like on a normal laptop.

Jot down your product key first!!! Find a program called pkeyui if you dont know how.

If your product key is not accepted in the Windows installation, just use a generic product key, and replace it with your actual product key once its installed.
