i tried with a Sammy MHL cable and i can't get it work; i read another user that tried 3 cables and still no luck.

so i think MHL is not supported.

Iconia A1-830 doesn't work with MHL. Actually, none of the Acer devices support MHL except for the lone Acer CloudMobile. There is no video output support at all for A1-830, and that includes Wireless Display (Miracast). This model doesn't come with micro HDMI port either that was present in the older A1-810. So, you can't connect it to your TV in anyway.

To see the complete list of MHL supported devices out in the market, please check the following link.

    Hope this helps!

Acer S2 aka S520 supports MHL.

Not according to that list available on the link of MHL supported devices, I posted above. Under Acer, it shows only one device that's the CloudMobile also knows as the S500.

I can vouch for the Samsung list to be accurate. Not sure about the rest. I assume, it must be up-to-date considering the information is provided by the official MHL Consortium website.

In any case, the A1-830 definitely doesn't support MHL.

You might be right on that. I have never used this Acer S2, so can't say for sure.
