Acer Aspire M5-581T BIOS bricked, warranty repair questions.

Hello everyone!

I just joined the forums because I have a few questions that I need some help on.

So my laptop unfortunately croaked due to the BIOS not installing correctly. Now all the laptop does it when I press the power button the laptop turns on keyboard lit everything sound like it's working except the screen is black. Then 2 seconds later the laptop shuts off, turns itself back on - the same thing happens and the laptop shuts down for good doesn't try to come back on.

I quickly chatted with an agent on web chat and they said to send it into the service center in Texas to have it checked out and since it's still under warranty it will  be cost free. The agent wanted my name phone number and address and made some type of "ticket" so they know my laptop is coming in for repair.

Everything is fine and dandy except one thing, I no longer have the original hard drive. The hard drive the original laptop came with (when the laptop was bought from BestBuy) began to fail within 2 weeks of use. (Laptop was never dropped it was always on my desk stationed) I rang Acer and they sent me a "new" one as a trade for the old one. Well the "new" one they sent me was actually failing as well (I checked it with some HD tools)  it wasn't too bad so I used it for a bit. Then the hard drive died and i decided to buy my own hard drive.

Should I send the laptop with the hard drive that I bought or should I ship hard drive less? The agent said that the laptop must be shipped with original hardware, but yet again the hard drive has been recycled and replaced for about 5/6 months so no way am I able to get it back.

Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it!
