Software stops loading

I have an Iconia W3-810.  I wanted to reset it to factory defaults, so I ordered the recovery discs.  Everything starts off just fine, but when it comes to installing the software, it gets to the stage where it says, Installing Azureware Wireless LAN 3rd WiFi 1x1 BGN+BT SDIOB........ I can't read beyond the dots.  At this point I have let it run for an hour and started over.  Then it got to the same point and stalled and I left it at that point for 4 hours.  I started over once again and let it go for over 24 hours.  It will not get beyond this point.  I would really like to just send it back and have the Acer techs reset it, but I must admit I can't find where to send it to.  I don't know if the unit is bad or one of the recovery disc is bad, but right now it is nothing more than a paper-wight.  If anyone has any ideas or an address for ACER repair, I would be grateful.

Same exact issue.  Did we all get them from the same place?  Woot.com?

I read your other post.  Good work, but it seems as if a few of us are all in the same boat.  If I could actually contact a real person who could tell me where to send the tablet and how much it would cost to have them repair it, I would consider that.  My ex-wife has a Lenovo tablet.  I called Lenovo, got a RMA, she FedEX on Monday, they got it on Tuesday, repaired it Tuesday night, FedEX back on Wednesday, and I got it on Thursday.  And they e-mailed me every step of the way what was going on.  ACER is about 1000% lower on customer service scale.  Good luck to us all or I am just going to give mine to the local computer shop and consider it a loss.

I can't guarranty that I could fix it, but if you want to send it here I can give it a try... Better than just giving it away anyway. Smiley Happy
