Welcome all Acer forum Users !!! Smiley Very Happy

Im not native english speaker, so forgive me my language. Smiley Wink

When i press on button there is no image on the LCD (even bios or POST), there is backlight - screen blink ( no image flashing the screen from external source). When I plug the HDMI to TV, on the TV screen there is everything that should be on the laptop LCD ( W7, desktop, etc.) I can use it only with the TV. I tried to change source to default but without luck.

What can i do more?

PS. There are few bad sectors on the hdd - i dont spare hdd and dont try to put a new one to check if this issue will show with fresh one. RAM is checked. LCD connector (MOBO to LCD) is new and also checked.

i think that the LCD is broken, reading all your tests.

    Hello marian3k,

Same diagnostic than IronFly. Your LCD panel is defective.

Herewith the part numbers of LCD panels for Aspire 5742G:

    LK.15605.010LCD PANEL.15.6"WXGA.LED.GLARE.AU
    LK.15605.019LCD PANEL.LED.15.6"WXGA.GL
    LK.15606.009LCD PANEL.LED.15.6"WXGA.GLARE.LF
    LK.15606.012LCD PANEL.LED.15.6"WXGA.GL
    LK.15608.011LCD PANEL.15.6".LED.WXGA.GL.LF
    LK.1560A.004LCD PANEL.15.6".LED.WXGA.GL.LF
    LK.1560D.010LCD PANEL.15.6".LED.WXGA.GL.LF
    LK.1560E.004LCD PANEL.LED.15.6"WXGA.GL.LF

You'll find the exact part number of your panel on the label (under the bar code, the 10 first numbers)

Thanks to all you replied me. Im just curious, becouse one of the technicians in service told me that there is malfunction of BGA on MO, and it will be very expensive. I just wait for the profesional service to fix it (LCD). When I get my Acer back i write what they do.
