why can i not switch my liquid e3 on its brand new

i bought a brand new liquid e3 today stuck it on charge and the only thing that works is the charging light I am about to bounce it off a wall as I am get really hacked off with it. Help

    Hi bigal777,

     

    Sorry that you're having an issue with your brand new phone. Can you provide me a bit of information?

     

    1. Is the battery charging light staying on or is it temporary?

    2. Are you getting any feedback from the system? Vibrations/haptic feedback etc...

    3. Are you charging the phone up off of an outlet? Phones with extremely low battery life will not recharge and boot if attempting to charge off of a computer through a USB port.

     

    I'll work to see if there's an issue or something more we can do to help.

    When you connect the E3 to the AC charger, which color is the led?

    its being charged via the charger supplied the light is a constant blue I am getting no reaction at all from the phone and cannot get the cover off to check the battery

    the standard behaviour is (when phone is OFF or with a dead battery)

     

    Connecting the AC charger, device will vibrate then blue led will light.

    after that the screeen turns ON with a battery animation and led becomes red.

     

    if led remains blue and you got no vibration, let's try this:

     

    1) change the USB cable from the AC charger

    if this fail

    2) connect the E3 to a PC and write here what happen (PC sound that recognise the E3 or nothing)

    if this fail

    3) press power ON + Volume DOWN, if it vibrates, leave the power button and keep pressing the Volume DOWN

     

    if this fail....

     

    contact Acer service or your shop for a repair.

    Hi, I have had my phone since April and have the same problem. My phone won't charge or respond to anything!

    Exactly the same problem for me too, only had the phone for 3 months and now its not turning on.

     

    When the charger is plugged in just a blue LED light shows with no responces and no charging sign like usual.

     

    Had to call acer and organise a collection for repair, collected by UPS yesterday.

    could of been alot easier with less hassle if acer could send customers lebels for your parcel (by mail or email). As i had to give the UPS guy a piece of paper with details like case id and billing address ECT...

     

    currently trying to login to see how my repair is going i have the correct case id and snid number but saying not recognised, hopefully my case id will just need to be uploaded by the repair center when my phone arrives, overwise ill feel like my phones never going to come back working or not working.

    PS--- I REALLY LOVED THIS PHONE AND HAVE BEEN RECOMMENDING IT TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY, SEEMS LIKE ALOT OF PEOPLE GETTING PROBLEMS WITH ACER PRODUCTS, HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE SORTED AND BE HAPPY WITH MY PHONE BACK  Smiley Frustrated

    i just tryed acer website on another link maybe uk version and was able to login to see my case status.

     

    currently -- under repair

    I bought my girlfriend the Acer Liquid E3, she's happy with it. Then she dropped it and the screen cracked, okay she was upset... then the phone started freezing, and the input for the charger seems to only take a few chargers, her phone kept lagging and turning off automaticly and it is very annoying. But now, the phone won't actually charge, when you put it on charge, there is a blue light, before when we put it on charge the light would be blue, and then the battery screen would come up and the light would turn red. Which I assume means that its charging. I've tried everything, googling all the options, and the Acer website tells me to take out the battery for 30 seconds.... WELL I CANT ! I am getting very annoyed by the fact that I have to share my Samsung S4 (brilliant by the way, it chargers and it will turn on!) and by the fact that I am supposed to be paying for this phone and it doesn't work? Please if someone knows what to do, help me!

    Hi, sorry for late response, I had my phone collected, repaired and deliverd working fine.

    Ring Acer tell them the problem, if your still under 2 years warrenty they should come n collect n repair for free. (As long as not cracked , water damaged or software damage its fee repair)

    Got my phone back within a week and could check the status of my repair online. 8 out of 10 from me. Would of been 10 if didn't break in first place and be good if sent customers a label to stick on box when phone is going in for repair.

    Same here.  Just seeing my phone die and now i have to wait for a week.
