RECOVERY DISC FOR OUR ACER AM1610-B1304 A VISTA HOME PREMIUM? PURCHASE?

I need to purchase a recovery disc for our AM1610-B1304A Desktop.2 weeks ago I entered the computer S/N and SNID and it came to the part to purchase this disc for $19.95.Now when I enter my computer information it doesnt come up? I am not sure what page I was on the 1st time? I did not have my credit card with me then so I couldnt purchase it at that time.Can someone lead me to the right link please.When I enter the SNID now it doesnt show up?Thanks,Born

    won't your system burn a set of recovery disks? was your <PQservice> factory recovery partition damaged? try going to empowering technology/eRecovery management and select create predetermined recovery disks (1st option). (don't know exact wording as my system is running in spanish).  as long as your original system/HDD is intact you shouldn't have to buy the recovery media.

     

    also if your system is still intact, i advise anyone to make an image copy of the <PQservice> partition at a minimum to retain it's services in case of HDD failure. the recovery disks won't rebuild this partition.
