    >>>i cannot close the emanagement small window showing its progree,>>>

Try Alt+Home key combo to minimize this window.

Have you tried to use the startup Alt+F10 erecovery management from the hidden partition instead of the disks that you made?

    Hi Again,

Have just done this as you advised.

all goes great, vista is installed, then Emanagement starts installing, i get to stage 10 of 11, process 10/11 Install eRecovery solution, the little circle just keeps turning, nothing happens, there is minimal disc activity.

As explained before, i did purchase some recovery discs via Ebay, the same happened with those, it was stuck on process 8 of 9, again Install eRecovery solution.

Would very much welcome your advice please

OK, next, let's look for hard drive problems.

Disconnect any peripherals except for the mouse. Start erecovery again using the Alt+F10 combo. Choose the command prompt option. At the prompt, enter "chkdsk C: /f /r" without the quotes. This will look for errors on the hard drive and try to correct them --- you might lose some data if it's located on a bad sector. Once chkdsk is done, re-boot and try the Alt+F10 erecovery again.

    hi.

i did this, no errors, still the same, hangs on ercovery install.

i then went into safe mode, msconfig, and have stopped all acer emanagement on startup, all ok windows working perfect now

just one problem, i have left the partition containing backup on hard drive, but have now way of using it now.

will have to think of way to backup current operating system, any ideas please ?

a pity there is so much trouble with this acer Emanagement, does not seem to want to install on a lot of peoples computers

    your help very much appreciated

OK, try this next. Re-boot the machine and F2 into the bios. In the advanced bios menu, check that HD recovery is enabled. Save and exit. If you're prompted, enter 000000 to start the recovery again.
