Hello homebody1966,
After installing the correct driver of Intel Display Driver and it still keeps giving you an error message, please try the following:
1. Go to Windows Update
2. Click "Check for Updates" and this will take awhile.
3. After it finishes checking the update, you will see your Intel Display driver update found by Windows.
4. Mark and install it.
Hope it helps.

Hello Homebody1966,
Perhaps the last update from Intel does not really fit with your current Intel Graphics on your laptop.
Please visit this Acer official site: http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/download.htm and download correct drivers for your Intel Graphics Acceletator. Backup the Intel drivers you download somewhere in your laptop in case the next update gives you an error message again, you can revert the changes back easily.

Dio I.

Hello homebody1966,
In first, check the driver version installed in the device manager - properties of the graphic device.
I checked in the driver folder the real version:
nstallation inf for the Intel Corporation graphics adapter.
[Version]
Signature="$WINDOWS NT$"
Provider=%Intel%
ClassGUID={4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
