So, I see that the battery on my notebook is made by Sanyo.

I ran powercfg /batteryreport last week:

Designed Capacity: 37mWh

Full charge Capacity: 36mWh

I ran the same test a week later (today):

Designed Capacity: 37mWh

Full charge Capacity: 35mWh

I bought this notebook new 2 weeks ago...is the battery failing this fast?? What should I do? Smiley Indifferent

    Hello MihaiA7X,

It is normal when the laptop battery suddenly reduces by itself.

To maintain your battery lifetime, you can remove the battery whenever your laptop is plugged on to electrical devices and never overcharge your battery.

Also try to run the test once again with your screen brightness reduced and not during opening any programs.

    Regards,

    Dio I.

nothing...it is still only charging to 35 mwh

So, a full charge (the battery led goes blue) equals: 35 mwh (not 37 mwh as designed)
