Accidently Uninstalled App

After a computer crash (Acer running Vista), I'm setting up a new computer Acer XC-603G, I've removed all the unwanted apps and began the process of installing some of my old programs. This Acer came with Cyberlink PowerDVD, which I use to view videos off my camcorder since Windows 8.1 doesn't recognize them. I downloaded a trial version of Cyberlink PowerDirector12 and decided to purchase the program. Before installing the new program I was uninstalling the trial version, by mistake I uninstalled PowerDVD that came on the computer.

Couple of questions

1) Is there any way to recover the program? I went to Recovery Mgt. Opened "Reinstall drivers or applications." The only options are Acer programs. The PowerDVD is not listed.

2) Is there any way to get Windows to recognize my camera format .TOD? Vista, on the crashed computer, recognized it and I was able to edit and upload to Youtube with no problem using Windows Movie Maker.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx!

Sally
