Hi! The HDD on my Aspire 3935 is dead. Can I replace it with a SDD drive? Which model will fit?

Hi I was wondering if I could replace the dead HDD of my Aspire 3935 with a SSD drive? Will it be recognized by the BIOS and will I be able to install Windows 7? I saw some Samsung 500 GB SSD 840evo with mSATA connector that seems to fit, but not sure if this will work? How about Crucial M500 480GB mSATA SSD?

I see indeed that the repair guide mentions the us of 2.5" drives, but I can't see how to fit one in the machine. The slot at the bottom of the machine is too small for 2.5" drives?
