    jokaragiannn,

We don't support third party hardware, however I would like to try and help with some troubleshooting. With the 9600GT installed do you see the Acer logo when you first power the system on? Are you able to press F2 and enter the BIOS?

If you answer no to both of the questions above then it could be a problem with the card itself or it may not be compatible with the system.

If you are able to get into the BIOS then that means the card is working and you just need to boot into Safe Mode and uninstall all the current drivers as they may be conflicting with new card.

Another thing to think of is that the original problem may not have been the video card and may be something else. You could try contacting our technical support team in your region and see if they have a replacement OEM graphics card and see if that works. If its more than just the card then service may be required.

First of all thank you for the answer.

No the laptop does not open with the 9600, actually it starts up and after a second it is stop working and I can't do nothing I just press the power button and switched off. Also it does not have any other problems because i tested with another vga card (8600) and it opens correctly.

If I manage to open the laptop and unistall the drivers for the 8600 is it possible to work with the 9600?

Normally if it is just a driver issue you can still get into the BIOS and Safe mode. So if you are not able to do that with the 9600 but with another card then it might be the card or a compatibility issue.

    Thanks for the answer.

I want to ask you if there is any way to know if the card is compatible with my laptop?

Also i would like to ask you if you know which cards are compatible with the 5920g

    jokaragiannn,

I want to apologize as I am unable to provide a list of compatible video cards with the Acer 5920G. We only have tested the system as it has shipped. The system was configured around the original graphics card and not intended to be upgraded.
