Hi Guys,

I own an Aspire One D257, and I have had to stop using because when I attempt to turn it on, I have to hold the power button down as if I was force shutting it down until it turns on, then it procedes to show all the lights and everything as if it were running normally, you can hear the fan, and all; but all I get is a "Black Screen of DEATH". The fan will eventually stop running and it just seems to sit there, doing nothing. No text on screen, no nothing. If you guys could help, I will provide any information I can. Thanks,

-Whutch

P.S. I did open it up, all the way from the keyboard down according to this video, until I reached the RAM, and then I blew it down, to remove dust and I replaced everything and started it up again, still the same thing occurs.

Since I don't think you have an HDMI port, first check if your graphics card is OK by VGA out to any  external monitor.

Ok, let me try that and I will edit this when I'm done. I have to find my old monitor.
